And Regan said "Yes!"
Woo hoo!
"You were wonderful", said Regan.
"Yeah . . . I know", said Birch.
"Can you stay and have lunch with me?', he asked.
"No, I want to be home before Megan Grace gets there", she said.
"Bye Birch!", she said.
Then she left to go home.

"Sweetheart, I've met someone I really care alot about and I want you to meet him", said Regan.
"Why don't you invite him over for supper tomorrow night?", asked Megan Grace.
"Alright, I will", she said.
"Mom, I went to David's birthday party today. He's the most beautiful man I've ever seen. I'm afraid he might find someone else before I become an adult", said Megan Grace.
"If he truly loves you, then he'll wait. Your birthday isn't that far off", said Regan.
"Yeah, I guess you'll right Mom", she said.
The following afternoon Regan called Birch . . .
"Hey cowboy, you want to come to supper tonight? "
"Sure, I'll be there in a few minutes", he said.
While her mother fixed chilli Megan Grace chatted with their guest.
"How long have you been living in Buford Falls Mr. Stetler?', asked Megan Grace.
"Just a few weeks. And by the way, my daddy was Mr. Stetler. You can call me Birch", he said.
"Alright Birch", she said.
They ate supper . . .
Then they went into the livingroom and chatted.
After awhile Megan Grace excused herself and went to her room.
"Do you want a cup of coffee?", Regan asked.
"Yeah sure", said Birch.
Regan made coffee and poured herself a cup.
Birch got a cup and joined her at the table.
"I best be getting on home", said Birch, "I'll call you tomorrow."
"Alright, I'll look forward to it", she said, restraining herself from kissing him.
Then Birch left to go home.
